Cabin Classes

Economy

Economy cabins contain adjustable reclining seats with a pitch of 34 inches, footrests, lumbar support and, depending on the aircraft, 6.5 inch seat-back screens. The in-flight menu includes Halal meals and a selection of hot and cold beverages. Special dietary requests can also be accommodated, including children's meals. Entertainment options are dependent on the aircraft and include video on demand sets, seat-back video, overhead screens or portable media players. Duty-free In-flight shopping is also available.

Business

Business Class cabins contain either angled lie-flat seats or reclinable seats. These seats feature an entertainment controller that includes email and an air-to-ground phone. Passengers are provided with Clarins amenity kits The in-flight menu includes gourmet Halal meals and a selection of hot and cold beverages including French champagne and quality beer. Special dietary requests can also be accommodated, including children's meals. Entertainment options are dependent on the aircraft and include Audio Video On Demand sets, seat-back video, overhead screens or portable media players. Duty-free In-flight shopping is also available.

First

First Class cabins contain 180 degree lie-flat beds that have a pitch of 88 inches, massage elements and individual ottomans. Passengers are provided with Clarins amenity kits, quilted mattresses, large pillows and duvet. First Class passengers can pre-order in-flight meals from a menu of 45 gourmet Malaysian and Western meals. Special dietary requests can also be accommodated, including children's meals. Entertainment options are dependent on the aircraft and include video on demand sets, in-seat video, overhead screens or portable media players. Duty-free In-flight shopping is also available.

Baggage

Economy passengers are allowed 1 piece of 5kg hand luggage, 2 pieces of checked baggage weighing 23kg in total when flying to the Americas and 1 piece of 20kg checked baggage for all other destinations. Business passengers are allowed 2 pieces of 5kg hand luggage, 2 pieces of checked baggage weighing 32kg in total when flying to the Americas and 1 piece of 30kg checked baggage for all other destinations. First Class passengers are allowed 2 pieces of 5kg hand luggage, 2 pieces of checked baggage weighing 32kg in total when flying to the Americas and 1 piece of 40kg checked baggage for all other destinations.

Check-in Options

Malaysia Airlines offers mobile and web check-in from 48 hours until 90 minutes before departure time. If checking in at the airport, check-in closes 60 minutes before departure time. First Class and Business Class check-in closes 45 minutes before departure time for international flights and 30 minutes before departure time for domestic flights.

Rewards Program

The Malaysia Airlines Enrich rewards program allows members to earn points when they fly with Malaysia Airlines or use the services of their affiliated partners. Accumulated points can be used to purchase flights, vouchers for the Golden Lounge or items from the Temptations catalogue.

Lounges

Malaysia Airlines has Golden Lounges located at Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching airports and internationally at Heathrow-London, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Singapore airports. Golden Lounges offer massage services, complimentary wireless internet access, business facilities, a kids' area, restaurants and a Platinum Suite accessible for Enrich Platinum members. First Class passengers, Business Class passengers and Enrich Platinum and Gold members have access to the lounges.
